Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda has claimed that his party will cross 370 seats come June 4 and will be increasing its tally in key states like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha and Telangana.
In an interview with CNN-News18, Nadda said the BJP will maintain its saturation and seat tally in Northern India. “We will increase our tally in UP. In West Bengal, we will touch 30-plus seats this time. In Odisha, we will cross 18-plus seats and in Telangana, we will double our tally,” the BJP President told CNN-News18, specifying where the gains will come from. He said that the NDA will cross 400 seats as aimed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He also said the BJP will remain intact in terms of seats in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. “We will maintain in Maharashtra and Bihar. In Andhra Pradesh, we will win at least 4-5 seats, and our alliance will be winning. In Tamil Nadu, we will open our account and our vote share will increase in a big way,” the BJP President told CNN-News18 in an interview in Bilaspur.
“Opposition is saying we will not cross 400 seats, that means they admit we are near 400. They have lost ground beneath their feet. BJP is dominating the agenda and the scenario,” Nadda said. He said people know the country is in safe and right hands of Narendra Modi. “A Congress voter may vote for Congress but in their minds and hearts also there is Modi,” the BJP President said.
