Bihar Exit Poll 2024: BJP-Led NDA Ahead of INDIA Bloc in 14 Seats That Voted in Phases 1-3

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, which Nitish Kumar’s JD-U is a part of, is set to sweep the 14 seats in Bihar that went to polls in the first three phases of the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections, News18 Mega Exit Poll predicted on Saturday. The counting of votes for Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held on June 4.

As per the News18 Mega Exit Poll, the Bharatiya Janata Party may get 2-5 of these 14 seats, taking the NDA tally to 10-13, while the Congress may get 0-2 seats with the INDIA bloc range predicted to be between 3-6 seats. Lalu Yadav-Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD is a part of the INDIA bloc.

Polling in Bihar was held in seven phases on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1. The bye-election for Agiaon (Bhojpur) Assembly constituency was also held on June 1.

In the first phase on April 19, the Lok Sabha constituencies that voted in Bihar were Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, whereas elections were held in Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Bhagalpur, and Banka in the second phase on April 26.

In the third phase on May 7, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Araria, Madhepura and Khagaria went to polls, and on May 13, elections were conducted in Darbhanga, Ujiarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai and Munger seats.

While the Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Saran and Hajipur seats went to polls in the fifth phase on May 20, Valmiki Nagar, Paschim Champaran, Purvi Champaran, Sheohar, Vaishali, Gopalganj, Siwan and Maharajganj voted on May 25 (sixth phase).

Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Arrah, Buxar, Sasaram, Karakat and Jahanabad voted in the seventh and final phase on June 1.
